Richmond Responsible Dog Ownership Day and "Take to the Ring" Seminar!
This September, hundreds of AKC affiliated clubs and other dog organizations will be celebrating AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day all across the country. You can join the fun by attending this event in Glen Allen on Saturday, September 25, 2010!
The Greater Washington Bouvier des Flandres Club together with The Dude Ranch, The Central Virginia Shetland Sheepdog Club and The Virginia Kennel Club (as well as additional breed-clubs to be announced) are proud to host a fun-filled day of dog sport and education. Multiple breed clubs will be hosting Meet The Breed booths, AKC Canine Good Citizen Testing (drop in!) and dog sport demonstrations. Already have a dog and want some answers to behavior questions? Come for the "Ask The Trainer" opportunity and more - all in an open-house indoor protected arena! There will be many breeds represented at this event -- and many knowledgeable dog owners, breeders and trainers to talk with. Ever wanted to do something different with your dog but don't know where to start? The Dude Ranch Pet Resort is hosting a AKC Obedience and Rally event on November 13th. Come learn how to get started with a family friendly event! We will be holding classes to help you learn everything you'll need to know about going into a ring with your dog. If you're a beginner, Rally is the place to start. If your dog is already well training, Obedience is for you! Purebred or Mixed breed dogs welcome!
