Training Classes
The Dude Ranch is happy to continue to offer classes 7 days a week in our Fully Air-conditioned Performance Hall! We're pleased to have some of the finest proven, certified, experienced instructors in the region - each of which have PERSONALLY attained some of the highest levels in their respective areas. Come and learn from those who have REALLY done it! We're proud to offer courses in the following areas:
Puppy Kindergarten, Hi-Q Puppy, AKC S.T.A.R. program, Basic Obedience, Intermediate Obedience, Advanced Obedience, Canine Good Citizenship, Accelerated CGC, Novice Level Performance Obedience, Open Performance Obedience, Ring Prep. courses (including Fun in the Ring, etc.), Rally (all levels! - AKC & APDT), Agility and Conformation. This year we've even got some new 'family' courses including MANNERS as well as BEYOND BASICS - DOODLING & GAMES with your dog! And --- you asked for it --- FREESTYLE is back in our schedules!
In addition, we offer REAL-WORLD run-throughs! Official sized rings set up just like being at a Trial or Show! Why practice in false settings when you can come drop-in at the real thing? We offer Drop-In run-throughs EVERY WEEK for Novice, Open and Utility Obedience, Rally and also 'Group Level' sessions in Conformation too! Come join us!
You keep giving us ideas - and we keep listening! Our OUTDOOR AGILITY FIELD has been 'blessed' by Janet and her troops! We've added equipment so we can run both indoors AND outdoors to meet the needs and wishes of all of you. Continuing into the new year is our WEEKLY BEST-IN-SHOW program! Unique to this area. Join our Conformation Judging sessions with drop-ins on Monday evening at 7:30pm. Each week you'll have the chance to participate in an AKC type Best-In-Show competition. They'll be TWO run-throughs: The first will be a critique and commentary by our guest Judge of the Week. The second run-through (immediately following the first) will be run as a true Best-In-Show competition! Don't just 'run around the ring' time and time again and hope to get something out of it... Practice and learn in a TRUE show structure / environment. "Enter" our show's weekly to experience different judges. If you've been with us over the summer you've had over six different judges to learn under! Why go over the same-old; same-old. Come out and experience the real thing. Remember - our judges are either real AKC Breed Judges, practicing Breeder/Handlers (with lots of Breed Champions!) and/or Handlers - i.e. people who do this for a living! The real thing. Come on over on Mondays at 7:30pm for Best-In-Show Conformation Judging competition!

Well, look no further, because we've got that too! the Original style drop-in group conformation class - On Thursday Nights! We're proud to have one of the best all-breed instructors around - the same one - for more than 1 year! No changing - no teaching - no preaching.... just good clean AKC style conformation handling technique. Now you can choose what's best for you: Conformation Group Drop-in on Thursdays - &/or Best-In-Show Judging on Mondays. C'mon over!
